HOUSTON — In the weeks since President Obama’s re-election, Republicans around the country have been wondering how to proceed. Some conservatives in Texas have been asking a far more pointed question: how to secede.

Secession fever has struck parts of Texas, which Mitt Romney won by nearly 1.3 million votes.

Sales of bumper stickers reading “Secede” — one for $2, or three for $5 — have increased at In East Texas, a Republican official sent out an e-mail newsletter saying it was time for Texas and Vermont to each “go her own way in peace” and sign a free-trade agreement among the states.

A petition calling for secession that was filed by a Texas man on a White House Web site has received tens of thousands of signatures, and the Obama administration must now issue a response. And Larry Scott Kilgore, a perennial Republican candidate from Arlington, a Dallas suburb, announced that he was running for governor in 2014 and would legally change his name to Larry Secede Kilgore, with Secede in capital letters. As his Web page,, puts it: “Secession! All other issues can be dealt with later.

Some folks have made a joke out of secession, what it means and how it can, and in some cases, should happen. Somehow, I believe Mr. Kilgore is serious.

When Texas filed their petition on the White House web site I was LIVID. Only a fool would do such. You don’t petition the White House asking for permission or asking to be released peacefully, and I still have issues with those that believe FREEDOM can be won with a petition.

As soon as Texas filed their petition many other states jumped on the band wagon, so much so that at last report, ALL 50 states had filed a petition to secede from the Union.

That is the most incredibly STUPID thing I have ever seen. Not only is it STUPID, but it cheapens the efforts of REAL Patriots that honestly believe in the idea of secession. If all 50 states wish to secede, why then didn’t all 50 states vote out the regime that has brought this issue to the forefront?

The petitions themselves are worthless for the most part; unless they get a certain number of signers the petition doesn’t even get addressed by the Obama administration.

Even serious petitions will be looked at and laughed at by Obama and Company, there is no way a supposed *state* petition with 250 signers will ever be taken seriously, by a tyrannical Socialist like Obama or any normal thinking person.

Our forefathers had the right idea when they made this Declaration a reality.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

And they had the courage to stand and FIGHT for that freedom.

In Texas, talk of secession in recent years has steadily shifted to the center from the fringe right. It has emerged as an echo of the state Republican leadership’s anti-Washington, pro-Texas-sovereignty mantra on a variety of issues, including health care and environmental regulations. For some Texans, the renewed interest in the subject serves simply as comic relief after a crushing election defeat.

Now here is why I used the NYT as the source for this tirade; “comic relief”? Here is where the Liberal tilt of the NYT and its staff come into full view. Texas secession is only comic relief to those miserable LIBBER bastards that would take Texas over to the Dem side of the world. The people that find this comical are the very ones that secessionists seek to remove from this state as we bring the Free Republic of Texas into being.

But for other proponents of secession and its sister ideology, Texas nationalism — a focus of the Texas Nationalist Movement and other groups that want the state to become an independent nation, as it was in the 1830s and 1840s — it is a far more serious matter.

The official in East Texas, Peter Morrison, the treasurer of the Hardin County Republican Party, said in a statement that he had received overwhelming support from conservative Texans and overwhelming opposition from liberals outside the state in response to his comments in his newsletter. He said that it may take time for “people to appreciate that the fundamental cultural differences between Texas and other parts of the United States may be best addressed by an amicable divorce, a peaceful separation.”

Morrison has received “overwhelming opposition from liberals outside the state” in regards to Texas parting ways with a rapidly failing United States of America.

Look at exactly WHO opposes Texas freedom; LIBERALS. Libbers from outside of the State of Texas oppose Texas becoming a Free Republic once again.

Now I don’t know about YOU, but personally, I don’t give a DAMN what any libber thinks or wants, be they from Texas or otherwise. If you libber bastards don’t like the idea of Texas becoming a Republic, take to the roads and highways, flock to Washington D.C. and suck up to YOUR Obamessiah and beg for his meager government handouts and keep your left-wing politics OUT of Texas.

Liberals and RINOs, Republicans In Name Only, have all but destroyed America, we can’t let them kill the idea of a Free Texas Republic too!
